We are in the business of keeping user data private. Therefore, we collect only information necessary to provide our services, and we make extra effort to minimize potential vulnerabilities.

Specifically, www.threetags.com do not collect any personally identifiable information such as user e-mail or brick-and-mortar addresses, and we do not use cookies, tracking or otherwise. All user data, such as note names, content, links, and tags, is encrypted on user computers using encryption keys that we do not have access to, and is stored on our servers in this encrypted state. What information we do collect

• Information collected during standard web site request logging such as client IP addresses, browser types, page hits, etc.
• Usernames of registered accounts are no longer collected.
• Encrypted passwords.
• Date and time of key operations such as user sign up, login, note creation and modification.
• User data, such as note names, bodies, links, due dates, and tags, are encrypted and unavailable for us or third parties to interpret; however, we do know how many notes a user has, when these notes were created/modified, and how many tags are assigned to each note.
• Note priorities, being just 'yes' or 'no', are not encrypted.
• User preferences such as visual themes.

We make appropriate efforts to ensure that user data stays secure and private. As noted before, most information we receive and keep is encrypted using the best available (as of January 1st, 2009) encryption algorithms (how it works). threetags.com also uses Google AppEngine, one of the most secure and reliable Internet infrastructures in the world, in order to ensure superior data availability ("uptime") and minimize potential data losses.

Please note that this privacy policy applies only to our main service at www.threetags.com. Our support site uses cookies to track site usage. In addition, support site commenters are asked to provide a user name (not related to ThreeTags user name) and an email address in order to prevent spam and other abuses.

In the future, ThreeTags Inc. will offer services that might require users to disclose additional information. All such transactions will be voluntary and will be operated on the opt-in basis, and all privacy implications will be reflected in this document.
